1.Introduction & Definitions
1.1 Who We Are
We provide driver training and related services including learner driver lessons (manual and automatic), ADI instructor training (Parts 1–3), B+E trailer training, and fleet assessments. Our service areas include Glasgow, Lanarkshire, and Renfrewshire.
1.2 Key Definitions
| Term | Meaning |

| “Instructor” | our driving instructor, trainer, or assessor delivering the service. |
| “Booking” | your reservation of a Lesson (whether made online, via the student portal, or by phone). |
| “Start time” | the scheduled start time of the Lesson. |
1.3 What These Terms Cover
These Terms explain how bookings, payments, cancellations, conduct, and other important matters are handled. By booking or attending a Lesson, you agree to these Terms.
2.Booking & Scheduling
2.1 How to Book
Lessons can be booked through our online booking system, via the student portal (where available), or by calling us on 0141 673 2210.
2.2 Accuracy of Booking Details
You are responsible for ensuring that the selected date, time, location, and your contact details are correct.
2.3 Scheduling and Availability
All bookings are subject to instructor and vehicle availability. We may need to rearrange a Lesson in limited circumstances (see section 4).
2.4 Student Portal
Where you have portal access, it may show upcoming lessons, progress tracking, and account information. Portal information does not override these Terms.
3.Pre-Payment (48 Hours Prior to Lesson)
3.1 48-Hour Pre-Payment Requirement
3.2 If Payment Is Not Received
If payment has not been received at least 48 hours before the Lesson start time, we may cancel the Lesson at our discretion and the slot may be offered to another student.
3.3 How Payment Is Taken
Payment methods and instructions will be provided at the time of booking, for example via our booking system, portal, or payment link.
4.Cancellation & Refund Policy
4.1 Customer Cancellations — More Than 48 Hours’ Notice
If you cancel more than 48 hours before the scheduled start time, you may choose either: (a) a reschedule to another available slot; or (b) a refund for the cancelled Lesson (where applicable).
4.2 Customer Cancellations — 48 Hours or Less
4.3 How to Cancel
Cancellations should be made via our online booking system or student portal where possible, or by contacting us by phone or email. The time of receipt of your cancellation request is the time that applies for the 48-hour notice period.
4.4 If We Cancel
If we cancel a Lesson (for example due to instructor illness, vehicle issues, safety concerns, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control), we will offer either: (a) a free rebooking at the next mutually convenient time; or (b) a full refund for that specific cancelled Lesson.
4.5 No-Shows
If you do not attend at the agreed time and place, the Lesson will be treated as a late cancellation/no-show and is non-refundable.
5.Pricing
5.1 Price Changes
Our prices may change from time to time.
5.2 Price at Time of Booking
Any Lesson you have booked will be charged at the rate agreed at the time of booking.
5.3 Additional Charges
If there are any additional charges (for example, extended time or additional mileage in special circumstances), these will be agreed with you in advance.
6.Punctuality
6.1 Be Ready on Time
Please be ready at the agreed pick-up location at the scheduled start time.
6.2 If You Are Late
If you are late, the Lesson may be shortened so it still ends at the scheduled finish time (or when the Instructor must leave for the next booking). Full payment remains due.
6.3 If the Instructor Is Late
If we are delayed, we will do our best to make up the time where possible. If we cannot, we will either extend the Lesson (where practical) or offer a proportionate credit/reschedule for the missed time.
7.Driving Licence & Eligibility
7.1 Licence Requirement
You must hold a valid UK provisional or full driving licence (as appropriate for the service) and present it when requested before driving.
7.2 No Licence, No Lesson
7.3 Legal Eligibility
You must meet all legal requirements to drive (including eyesight standards). You must tell us about any disqualifications, bans, medical conditions, or endorsements that may affect your eligibility or insurance.
8.Behaviour
8.1 Respectful Conduct
We expect respectful behaviour towards our staff, instructors, and other road users at all times.
8.2 Safety First
You must follow the Instructor’s reasonable instructions, particularly those relating to safety.
8.3 Termination for Unsafe or Abusive Behaviour
9.Vehicle & Safety
9.1 Vehicle Provided
We provide fully insured, dual-controlled vehicles for training (where relevant to the service).
9.2 Road and Weather Conditions
Lessons are subject to weather, road conditions, and any other safety considerations. The Instructor may change the lesson plan, route, or location, or may cancel a Lesson where safety requires it (see section 4.4).
9.3 Care of Vehicle
You must take reasonable care of the vehicle and follow the Instructor’s instructions regarding safe operation.
10.Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including UK GDPR. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details of how we collect, use, and protect your information.
11.Liability
11.1 What We Cannot Limit
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
11.2 General Limitation
Subject to clause 11.1, we are not liable for any loss or damage that is not reasonably foreseeable.
11.3 Indirect Losses
Subject to clause 11.1, we will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses (including loss of earnings, loss of opportunity, or wasted costs such as test fees), except where required by law.
11.4 Your Property and Fines
We are not responsible for personal property left in the vehicle. You are responsible for any fines or penalties incurred while you are the driver.
12.Complaints
We always aim to provide a high standard of service. If you have a complaint, please raise it with your Instructor first where appropriate.
If the issue is not resolved, please contact us at hello@allisondriveracademy.co.uk with your name, contact details, and a description of the complaint. We will acknowledge and respond within a reasonable time.
13.Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England, Wales and Scotland, and the courts of England, Wales and Scotland will have jurisdiction over any dispute or claim arising from them.
By booking and/or attending a Lesson, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
