Questions about lessons
Straight answers. Where a figure is given, it matches the terms updated on 26 October 2026 for prices and 31 October 2026 for the booking wording.
How do I start lessons?
Join the waiting list, or call, WhatsApp or email. There is no payment to join. Dave gets in touch when a space opens. The site does not take a card payment or confirm a lesson time by itself.
How much is a lesson?
A 90-minute lesson is £70, whether it is automatic or manual. Ten lessons are £675 and twenty are £1,300. Prices updated 26 October 2026. Bundle validity and the refund worked example are in the terms.
When do I pay?
A lesson is paid in full at least 48 hours before it starts. Card payments are taken by Stripe. No lesson money is taken just to join the waiting list.
What is the cancellation rule?
More than 48 hours before the start time, you can reschedule or have a refund for that lesson where a refund applies. At 48 hours or less, the lesson is non-refundable and is not rescheduled.
Where do you pick me up?
From your registered address, and you are dropped back there. Be ready at the start time. If you are late, the lesson still finishes on time.
Do you teach automatic and manual?
Yes. Both are 90 minutes and both are £70 a lesson at the prices published on 26 October 2026.
Is there theory support?
Yes. £5 in the Green Light app unlocks the full question bank for two years. That is separate from the lesson price.
Can a parent follow progress?
Yes. Learners and parents sign in at the Allison Driver Academy portal. A learner under 18 can name a parent or guardian on the waiting-list form.
Which areas do you cover?
Lessons are in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire, around 11 test centres. Each centre has its own page under Areas.
Who will teach me?
Dave, a DVSA-approved driving instructor (ADI). Lessons are with Dave. The franchise page is for instructors who want to join later, not a list of people already teaching.
How many lessons will I need, and how soon can I take the test?
It depends on you, and on test-centre waiting times, which we do not control. We do not promise a number of lessons, a date, or a pass.
Do you offer intensive courses, Pass Plus or gift vouchers?
No. Those are not offered. Refresher lessons, trailer towing training, fleet assessments and ADI training are. Ask us what is involved and what it costs before you book.
